Since 2019, we have tested and proven the break-through concept of transforming lives and communities through the power of social investing (social impact through social capital).
We created a capital pool or “investment group” that made it possible for a large number of people to make small contributions. Just like it takes one drop at a time to fill a bucket (and in fact, an ocean), this capital pool gave us the leverage to access investment vehicles that are otherwise not reachable by the average person, especially those living in Africa.
These investment vehicles include the New York Stock Exchange, Real Estate, Industrial-scale agriculture, start-up companies in the domains of education, healthcare, ecommerce, and finance. In return, we have been able to reward our investors with generous annual dividends of 12%, plus capital refund.
We feel both proud and privileged to have found a solution that works for our community, and that is able to sustainably enrich individuals and communities, in a context where banks, credit unions, and local njanguis tend to exploit their customers and members while the founders and directors grow fat.
People save in njangui groups for an entire year and withdraw their capital at the end of the year without interest, even though they pay interest when they take loans. Banks and credit unions charge interest anywhere between 12% and 24% per year when they give out loans, but the people who contribute the capital with which this business is done receive less than 5% interest on their savings per year. Let us not even mention the fortune that these institutions make from stock market investing, real estate, and project financing. When you factor in inflation (5% and above), you realize that those who save money automatically lose money, apart from being cheated out of the profits that their capital makes.
We created Guzzang Investment PLC as the institutional vehicle that would take our community wealth creation innovation to the next level. Partnering with TAMU is a giant leap toward attracting committed investors that are ambitious about leaving their mark on the education landscape in Africa, while making more lucrative, easier, and more secure financial returns than they can find anywhere else.
Join our community of impact investors who are leading Africa’s transformation by investing in higher education innovation through TAMU. Find out how you can create this impact while doubling your money in 5 years.
On October 12th, 2022, TAMU received official accreditation as a private higher education establishment from the Cameroon Minster of Higher Education, just in time for the effective take-off of the 2022-2023 academic year. We are currently operating from an ultra-modern temporary campus at Ngeme – Limbe, around the entrance to the Omnisports Stadium.
We have already secured 7 hectares of land at Etome Village (opposite SONARA) where we plan to construct a futuristic academic city. Our ambition is to transform these 7 hectares of land into the most modern, most sophisticated, and most prestigious university campus in Cameroon within 8 years (by 2030).
Between acquiring land for the permanent site, setting up and equipping the temporary site, securing authorization, effectively launching TAMU, and running it for the first year, the founding team has already invested to the tune of 200,000,000 XAF. By including partners like you in our growth plan, the goal is to increase our running capital to at least 2billion XAF within 8 years.
TAMU Innovation City shall be fully developed by 2030. It shall contain the following units:
1. Academic Complex including Day Care Center, Nursery School, Primary School, Secondary/High School, Vocational Training Institute, and a Technical University
2. Housing complex containing 1000 student rooms and 100 family apartments
3. Medical Center
4. Convention Center
5. Public Library and Museum
6. Entrepreneurship and Innovation Village
7. Research Park
8. Business District with shopping malls, workshops, and office space
9. Leisure Park containing artificial lake, garden, gym, pool, and other social amenities
10. Sports complex

Our ability to mobilize and commit a start capital of 200,000,000 XAF without depending on fees from even a single student, testifies to the fact that we have what it takes to get to a billion XAF in annual revenue within 5 years due to a combination of factors:
Education is by its very nature one of the most lucrative and safest business ventures known to humanity. That is why, for example, Harvard University has more reserve capital than 99% of the companies in the Stock Market.
The baby boomer generation that created the post-World-War 2 economic boom in Europe and America are now retiring, aging, and dying. This means that the only way these countries can survive economically is to embark on huge importation of young, foreign, skilled labor. Academic institutions like TAMU that invest in training quality professionals in shortage occupations like healthcare, engineering, and ICT are poised to make a fortune from employment-based-immigration programs.
Globalization, digital technology (especially cloud computing), and COVID-19 have created a new culture of remote learning and remote working. By investing in these technologies and leveraging this new technology-thirsty environment, TAMU is positioning itself to enroll and teach tens of thousands of students both on and off campus, nationwide and internationally.
With its coastal location, irresistible climate, and breath-taking scenes between the Atlantic Ocean and Mount Cameroon, Limbe is surprisingly a virgin territory when it comes to higher education. Merge this advantage with the deep sea port project, the oil refinery company, and other projects that are turning Limbe into the fastest growing city in Cameroon; and you get the picture of how unlimited our potential is as a global higher education institution based in Limbe.
Because we are all about Social Transformation. Giving you the opportunity to partner with us is a means of building a community of impact. Your investment and social engagement builds the momentum that we need to effect a bigger change in a shorter time. In return, you gain a return on your investment that no other investment vehicle can boast of.
You may be wondering where an investment scheme fits into an academic institution. Well, the first good news for you is that we practice what we preach. TAMU is not a Certificate Dispensing Machine (CTM) like the average university you find in every country today. It is by creating solutions and engineering change that we are teaching our students how to do the same.
In a quest to create a suitable financial instrument that would enable us to carry out our investment activities legally while protecting our partners, we thought it wise to create our own financial institution. We already have a Category 1 Microfinance license for Guzzang Investment Cooperative Society. We are currently pursuing accreditation for Guzzang Investment PLC as an autonomous Category 2 Microfinance Institution under COBAC Law.
Your investment at TAMU will therefore be administered by a legal entity designed for that purpose and accredited by Cameroon law to carry out financial activities of mutual interest to members.
If after reviewing your expression of interest and having a working session with you, we accept you to join our community of investors, we will send you a copy of our contract to review, sign, and submit with your proof of payment.
After signature by both parties (you and us), we will have your contract notarized and a copy sent back to you for your records.
In the 06 July 2021 of University World News Africa Edition, Professor Paul Zeleza
expounds on the thesis that “Quality higher education is indispensable for Africa’s future”. We have summarized the article, to highlight the salient issues that we are proactively tackling at TAMU, and to show you that your partnership is pivotal to this venture,
(Source: https://www.universityworldnews.com/post.php?story=202107051145016).
In 2017, there were 14.6 million students in higher education institutions in Africa, or 6.6 percent of the world's 220.7 million students.
When you invest in TAMU, you are making a contribution toward ensuring that more African students have access to quality higher education.
Many African universities struggle with a lack of funding since all key sources—such as tuition fees, auxiliary income, research grants, government subventions, charitable contributions, and low-interest loans—are constrained.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be contributing toward closing the resource gap and equipping us to provide our students with the quality of education that they deserve.
Because African institutions are not graduating enough students with terminal degrees, there is still a shortage of human capital, particularly in terms of qualified teaching staff.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be helping us hire and maintain quality faculty from around the world while investing in the career growth of our local junior faculty.
Research output in African is terribly low. Africa invests 0.59 percent of GDP on research and development, compared to a global average of 1.79 percent, according to the most recent UNESCO Science Report 2021. It comes as no surprise that it only contributes to 1.01 percent of global R&D spending, 2.50 percent of global researchers, and 3.50 percent of scholarly publications, compared to a region like Asia's respective shares of 45.7 percent, 44.5 percent, and 48.0 percent. For example, the entire African continent, with a population of 1.3 billion, produces fewer scholarly publications than Canada (3.60%), with a population of 37.7 million!
When you invest in TAMU, you will be giving us the boost we need to invest in research and development sectors that make a true university, something that is starkly missing in most African universities.
Infrastructure is frequently not up to par. Deferred maintenance is common, and physical facilities frequently do not keep up with expansion in enrollments and academic programs. Under COVID-19, a brutal lack of investment in electronic infrastructures became painfully apparent, forcing campuses to close and forcing universities to move their operations and service delivery online—something several universities were unable to do.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be contributing one brick to the ultramodern academic citadel that we envisage to build, not only to provide a comfortable learning environment, but also to serve as an inspiration and a model in Africa.
Systems of leadership and administration are frequently jeopardized by outside interference and politicization, internal problems, authoritarianism, corruption, and a lack of opportunity for leadership growth.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be helping us stay as a private venture that is capitalized enough to stay neutral from political entanglements, and this immune to external influences and corruption.
Academic cultures are more complicated, and arguments over equality, diversity, and inclusion are becoming more heated as university communities become more diverse and expectations increase.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be helping us keep our tuition low and empowering us to leverage technology to reach more learners, thereby promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
Persistent mismatches between university education and economic needs, which result in high levels of employability, show that the quality of graduates is still a problem.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be giving us the resources and competitive advantage we need to negotiate training collaborations with industry partners, toward producing graduates that are a good fit for market demands.
There is a huge challenge at the level of balancing the historical legacies and contemporary pressures of asymmetrical internationalisation and the enduring demands of intellectual, institutional, ideological decolonisation and indigenisation.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be helping us to be able to afford the curriculum reforms, books, and resources that both faculty and students need to orchestrate an educational experience that is truly transformative.
African universities perform poorly in global rankings of higher education. For instance, just 60 of the 1,500 universities listed in the Times Higher Education 2021 World University Rankings are located in Africa. Egypt leads the list with 21, followed by South Africa with 10, Algeria with 8, Nigeria with 6, Morocco with 5, Tunisia with 4, and Algeria with 8 universities.
When you invest in TAMU, you will be giving us a chance to develop the staff, infrastructure, research, and other quality outputs that will increase Africa’s share on the university world rankings.
